Raissa Bennett

Raissa has appeared on Broadway in Phantom of the Opera where she performed the role of "Christine Daae", and in Chess, the Third Annual Benefit for the Actor’s Fund of America, with Josh Groban.  Nationally, Raissa’s roles include: “Christine” stand-by in Phantom…, LA & Nat’l Tours; "Jellylorum/Griddlebone" & "Jennyanydots", in Cats,  First Nat’l Tour; “Mother” in A Child’s Christmas in Wales, Nat’l Theatre of the Deaf; "Lizzie Phagan" in Parade,  First Nat’l Tour, with the show’s original Tony Award winning team: composer and conductor Jason Robert Brown, and Harold Prince, director.



She was honored to be a featured soloist in "Brave New World - American Theatre Responds to 9/11" at Town Hall, NYC. 

In concert & cabaret she has performed  at: Radio City Music Hall, The Supper Club, The Rainbow Room, the Erie and Rochester Philharmonics. Most recently, she was a special guest soloist in a fundraising concert at the estate of the legendary Cal Ripken, Jr.

Raissa was a principal player in NBC’s “Unsolved Mysteries”, performs her one-woman cabaret “Listen To My Heart – Stories And Songs From The Journey” around the U.S, and has released a solo CD: What I Was Dreaming Of available at http//pages.prodigy.net/raissakatona.

Raissa makes her home in NYC with her husband, Dr. Garrett Bennett and their tiny dog, Brandy.
