David Chernault Bio

Director . Singer . Actor . Dancer . Voice Over Artist  

This multi-talented performer has done it all, including  performing at Madison Square Garden as Daddy Warbucks,   appearing as the featured performer for multiple concerts and recordings with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, directing custom corporate shows and providing  voices for over 25 characters in film and theme parks.

David starred as Daddy Warbucks for the 30th anniversary tours of Annie run in Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Sarasota, Clearwater, Des Moines and Grand Rapids. David also went on as Warbucks in New York City at Madison Square Garden with Kathy Lee Gifford. The show is directed by Tony award winner, Martin Charnin.
 

He recently portrayed the title role in The Adventures of Sir Douglas Fir with the Orlando Philharmonic. He also sang in a series of Holiday concerts at SeaWorld with the Philharmonic.
 

Locally he has appeared as the up-tight Austin in Mad Cow Theater’s production of A.R. Gurney’s Later Life, directed by Annie lyricist Martin Charnin and co-starring Shelly Burch from One Life to Live.
 

His voice-over credits include Ballie’s Las Vegas, Warner Brothers, Walt Disney World and the soon-to-be-released Baby Felix Cartoon where Mr. Chernault performed over 25 different voices.
 

David sang/cast and directed “From Bach To Broadway” for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. David also compiled a 14-minute Broadway Medley for the concert.
 

David was lead vocalist on board cruise ships Vistafjord & Sagafjord.
 

He has entertained at Disney World, Universal Studios, Tokyo Disneyland, and various theaters in the Washington D.C. area including Arena Stage and Foldger Theater.
 

He has been principal singer for numerous corporate clients in Convention and Business theater throughout Atlanta, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and other major cities.
 

David was the principal singer with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra on a series of CD’s featuring the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. An “Evita Highlights” CD where David sang the role of ‘Che’ has sold over a half million copies.
 

David has directed shows for clients such as Disney, Universal Studios, T. Skorman Productions, The Producers, Uniquely Florida, Hormel, Bank One, American Cancer Society, Harley Davidson and many others.
 

David has been vocal director for Barney on PBS and the Macys’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2000.
